Engr. Isah Hamza is a highly accomplished Water Resources and Environmental Engineer with over a decade of professional experience in the planning, design, and supervision of major water infrastructure projects across Nigeria. With a strong academic foundation-including two master’s degrees and a COREN engineering license-he has consistently demonstrated technical excellence in environmental impact assessments, dam construction oversight, and watershed management.
Isah began his engineering journey at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. He also holds a Master of Environmental Management and a Postgraduate Diploma from Bayero University, Kano. His academic background is matched by practical expertise, having served in key roles at the Federal Ministry of Water Resources. There, he contributed to national projects like the preparation of strategic action plan for water resources development in the Komadugu-Yobe Basin (AfDB Assisted Project) and major dam and irrigation developments including Gashua Bali, Kafin Zaki, and Rafin Soja.
He has participated in numerous international and local workshops and trainings, including irrigation systems and water management in Pakistan and dam safety assuarance (world bank assisted) in Nigeria. Fluent in English and Hausa, Engr. Isah is passionate about sustainable development, environmental conservation, and infrastructure that meets the needs of both people and nature.
